The Best-Laid Plans

dd0_0018.jpgThe Flaw by Antonis Samarakis would never have come to my attention had it not been for the mention of it in Love in LowerCase. Originally written in Greek in 1966, this book may take some searching to find, but I guarantee, it will be worth your effort.

Going into it, I had no idea what this book was about. I think that made it even better as this is a story of intrigue. The novel is told through the thoughts of several men. As it begins, three men are traveling in a car. Slowly, the author reveals that two are employed by “the Regime” and the other man is their prisoner.

Were I to reveal any more of this outstanding plot, I think it would ruin your reading pleasure. I will say it took my breath away! This is a story about mind games and, on a deeper level, so much more. Incredible! Please add it to your list!
