Grief

wpid-thumb.jpgAfter You by Jojo Moyes is a sequel novel to Me Before You. If you plan to read this book, you will definitely need to have read the prior book as this story begins where the other one left off.

As the story opens, we find Louisa Clark trying to pick-up the pieces of her life after the death of the man she loved. She is living on her own in a flat in London and working as a waitress in an airport lounge. Louisa is a grieving soul living in a bubble of uncertainty following the loss of her beloved Will. Little does she know how the trajectory of her life is about to change.

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I had hoped. I read Me Before You a long time ago and loved it. The problem I had was, I did not remember it that well and due to references in this book, felt lost quite often. I highly recommend a re-read of the original book if you plan to read the sequel.
