Great list – just in time for the holidays too, perfect reminder!

I gave books to a couple of family members last year and was glad they enjoyed them! What books will be on your list this year?

      • Letizia says:

I haven’t asked for any specific books this year although, fortunately, I always receive some. My brother asked for Rilke’s Collected Works so I was happy to buy that for him and reread some of his great poem as I wrapped it up!

  2. I love reading readers’ Top Reads lists for the year: agony to have to restrain oneself to only 10 items. I;ll be inflicting my (longer) list mid-December; am still trying to decide what earns /does not earn a place on the list. I’m dying to read the Anthony Doerr, and crossing my fingers that my local Library will buy it. I( see you’ve included 2 Booker Short List nominees. I loved the Karen Joy Fowler.

Hello Alison! Happy Holidays to you! I agree, it is quite difficult to select only 10 books each year for my list. If I owned the Doerr book, I would gladly share it with you! I admit it was my favorite book this year! The Fowler book was really interesting and I think it deserved as spot on my list.

As always, there are many great books I never get to, but I am grateful to have read some which I considered top notch!

Please cc me here with a link to your top books for 2013! I would love to share it with my readers.

I have found that sharing my Amazon wish list is a great way to let my family know what I really want for Christmas!
