Why Are You So Sad? is Jason Porter’s debut novel. Raymond, the main character, believes everyone in the world is clinically depressed. On a whim, he creates a survey distributing it to his unsuspecting “LokiLoki” coworkers.
The haphazardly designed survey asks questions about God, happiness, and sports. The responses Ray receives are humorous as well as thought-provoking.
The book is a quick read, clever, and funny. I think we can all relate to its message. Maybe Porter is right!
