Bad Ground by Quintin Overocker is a wonderful novel about a 41-year-old man with alcoholic parents. The main character, Dan drinks too much as well and lives a solitary life in the small Illinois town where he grew up. Dan, like the town, is dying a slow death.
This is an excellent story written by someone who didn’t miss a beat in the telling of it. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors and fishing in particular as it contains beautifully descriptive passages about nature. I also wish to thank the author for contacting me about his book. I am very pleased to have read it and to be able to share this exceptional novel with my readers.
