I’ll Never Be French (no matter what I do) Living in a Small Village in
Brittany by Mark Greenside was a delightful change of pace! My recent reads had put me in a bit of a funk and Greenside’s non-fiction novel made me laugh again. This book is really funny!!!
As many of my followers know, I have a huge soft spot for anything French. Greenside’s story of living in Brittany part-time made me long for fresh flowers, fruit, and fromage. I especially love the way the author offers himself up as the American buffoon living in Brittany unable to speak or understand the language of its inhabitants. I laughed out loud often while reading this book. I hope you will as well. Tres Amusant!
Sounds delightful. I enjoy travel books with a humorous slant. For me, a little light relief is a very necessary treat, considering all the crime/drmaa/heartache/tragedy/horrors that we encounter in novels. I adore PG Wodehouse – thoroughly recommend.
I agree! Thanks for the author recommendation and your comment!
